An installation at the Ottawa Little Theatre based on the compiling and arbitrary tagging of the multitude of hand props as part of the research for the sculpture ShapeShifter. The props room located in the vaults of the theatre, contained a history of theatrical production- glasses of multiple shapes and sizes, teapots, statues, lamps the paraphernalia of plays. Many of these items were donated by volunteers while others were constructed by hand and each one had a story to tell. The challenge was to craft a work that gave significance to these simple local objects while also describing something bigger about the world of theatre.
