A collaborative series of banners with Eric Chan, this grouping of twenty six laser cut steel banners are intended to define place making within an expanding urban environment. Impactful and intuitively orientated along both sides of this busy highway, the forms describe ways to mark a specific location by elaborating on natural habitat; the Poole Creek waterway, indigenous wildlife such as the Banting Turtle, commerce and communication. As a grouping they explore the upbeat nature of the Kanata west community and elaborate upon an urban/environmental balance.
